Goal setting

Today I wrote down my "top 10 goals" I want to accomplish. I had been compiling the goals for awhile and need to get serious and get them in place. I put them on a notecard so I can carry them with me everywhere and set them on my keyboard at work to look at. After writing them out I feel I could really "refine" them, I think just getting the goals in place are a good start for "focus". Anyways, I can get wayyy to specific about goals. I can and will refine as I go. What is important is setting them and working to accomplish them. The joy will come from accomplishing them. :)

I feel that I am to share them. Must be because this is what this blog is all about for me so here they are:
Cindy's top 10 Goals
1. Go Raw
a. go vegetarian(done)
b. give up processed foods, give up refined sugars
c. go vegan
2. Pray daily
3. Read Bible daily
4. Set up a blog. (done)
5. Learn to play Bass.
6. Decrease body fat to 20% - 25%./ decrease BMI to 21
7. Lose 25 lbs.
8. Study massage a minimum of 5 hrs./ week
9. Exercise-set up a schedule and follow it.
10. Have "Cindy time" (massage at least every other week) and "Husband time" (date night at least 1 time/week).

**These goals are in no particular order**
Whew!!! That feels better!!! :)

Nourishment for 6.26.07:
1/2 C coffee w/ vanilla creamer
1/2 C teechino(this is an awesome coffee substitute)w/ van creamer
1 org food bar(greens)
1 brownie
16.9 oz water
1/2 c wild rice w/ dulse* and flax oil
fruit and nut bar
3 handfuls popcorn
1/3 cantalope*
16.9 oz water
handful of mix of almonds/rasins/sunflower and pumpkin seeds*
16.9 oz water
apricot*
5 saltines
4 pretzel sticks
soy yogurt-strawberry (Yuck!! I didn't like this kind)
1/2 c wild rice
corn on cob*
----THANKS inspiredraw, it was great raw!!!------
2/3 lg dark cho bar

So, as I look over today, I see that I ate about 30% raw. I also see much of what I ate I can get or make in a raw version. Planning and preperation is what will make this a goal of going raw that I can accomplish. Need to work on more water throughout the day.

Food for 6.27.07
1 1/2 c coffee w. van creamer
4 oz peach soy yogurt (this one was good!!)
1/4 c pasta salad
16.9 oz water
1 slice fruit pizza (made on a sugar cookie crust)
salad-lettuce and tomato*
lg fuji apple* (YUM, never had this kind before)
16oz van chai ("treated" myself after getting through a big presentation at work-hmmmm-next time I will get some raw chocolate on hand!!)
16.9 oz water
2 servings wheat thins (32 crackers)
approx 1 c maccaroni w/ cream of mushroom soup (I was making tuna noodle casserole for my hubby and M-I-L.)
soyburger w/raw salsa
avo/banana pudding on almond/date crust* topped w/ not raw coconut
8 oz water

about 30% raw today...want to increase this to at least 50%.
the pudding was "ok", something I didn't like about it though. I'll have to work with it some more. I have to make brownies for work tomorrow so I am going to try my first batch of "raw" brownies.
Hey, they more raw treats available IN my home, the less likely I will feel drawn to the "not raw" stuff. (Can't ask hubby and MIL to get rid of their foods, wouldn't be right) What a revelation Cindy. :) Again, it's back to planning and preparation and trusting in the word of God. (quite a winded blog today)
Peace and Love to you all....................................

Cindy, I love reading your blog because what we're going through is so similar. You'll notice I haven't been keeping up my blog for the last few days. That usually means I'm off track and don't want to admit it. But after reading your Top 10 Goals I think I'll take that challenge and post some of my own. To whoever reads this next (besides Cindy), tag you're it.

P.S. Glad you liked the corn. Last night I tried it with some avo smeared on. Another great snack is born.
