Today is the first day of the rest of my life........

Well, today I begin to "blog" my journey hoping and believing I will find new found strength through this. My beginning goals: 1. give up refined sugar. 2. give up processed foods. 3. go vegan. (am already vegetarian, since Jan. '07. wasn't difficult since I have never been really much of a meat eater anyways). I have such a habit of setting goals and then "refining" them. Oh, they are too hard, there are too many, etc... Well, then I just give up on them all and get nowhere. Here, today, is my beginning.....
My food for the day:

2 C decaf coffee w/ soy mild and vanilla stevia
1 active greens organic food bar
1 soy burger w/ 1/2 avocado and dulse flakes
1/4 C wild rice
500 ml water
5 frosted shortbread cookies
500 ml water
bean and cheese burrito
500 ml water
single serve microwave popcorn with butter and parmesan cheese
1 bag cool ranch doritos
3 frosted sugar cookies
1 C sassafrass tea

OK-Not a good day. Looking over it it's addiction. It's the first one that starts it. (you know, just like any 12-step program teaches.) It's the first one-that first taste of refined sugary, processed foods. Tomorrow is a new day. A fresh start. Have faith in God-He will always provide.
